FF Summer Dates
If you're an Opera lover (and who isn't?), see us swing on the steps of Music Hall prior to the Cincinnati Opera's presentation of La Boheme July 21. 23 and 25. Then, our vurdon hits the road: We're north of Columbus, Ohio, for a Delaware County Preservation Parks Concert Thursday July 29, we're in Frankfort, Kentucky Friday August 6 at the Kentucky Coffee Tree, and we're in Middletown, Ohio at the Main Street Music and Art Festival Saturday August 14. ● Frenchmen CDs
We're currently arranging, re-arranging, bickering over, and recording material for our third CD release, which we expect to have out by Autumn of this year. It should feature no fewer than eight new Frenchmen compositions, with all four Frenchies making compositional contributions. Our second CD, Oblivion, received a Cincinnati Entertainment Awards nomination in the "Album of the Year" category. Seven of Oblivion's eleven tracks are original Frenchmen compositions. Available for online purchase or download here.
Our first CD features the eclectic mix of 30's jazz, pop gems, and cartoon music our fans and friends know from our live performances. Available online here. Both discs are also available in Cincinnati area stores including Shake It Records in Northside, Everybody's Records in Pleasant Ridge, Joseph Beth Booksellers, Borders Tri-County, Barnes & Noble stores at Kenwood, Newport on the Levee and West Chester, and at Tink's Cafe in Clifton and all of our live shows. Thanks to Greg Hauser for his assistance and unparalleled tire maintenance. We're also available for download on iTunes and Rhapsody. ●
Django100.com The worldwide celebration of Django Reinhardt's one hundredth birthday continues: our (authentic!) French friend Philippe Nevot has forwarded us this link. Me and Paul and Our MySpaceFace Quoting our FB home page, "Faux Frenchmen is on Facebook!" Keep apprised of our activity by simply electronically befriending a Frenchmen. Thanks to Mrs. Lovely for getting the Facebook ball rolling for us. At our Patterson-pimped Myspace site you can hear our music, gawk at Michael Wilson Faux-toes, read George's blog, and ponder why so many people spend so much time on their computers. ●
The Guys (and Girls) Get Cathryn Lovely's cover design from our first CD (she also designed our "Oblivion" cover) is available on a swellegant t-shirt, in men's and women's styles and sizes in black or white. Available wherever Faux Frenchmen are found.
